Responding to the President's call for each of us to assume responsibility to help make the world a better place for all. ABC4All has been doing this for 11.5 years and is now responding to the call of President Obama whose words (below) are echoed by ABC4All Mentor Waleed from Egypt:
"And I want to particularly say this to young people of every faith, in every country - you, more than anyone, have the ability to remake this world." -- President Barack Obama speaking at Cairo University
"There is no doubt that TakingITGlobalis the most important online place.
Only TIG can help young leaders all over the world to exchange our ideas and
think together about achieving the best. With TIG there is no borders between us
- only what we need is to be online to make new friendships between each other
and respect one another. I have a dream that I would like to live to see the
day that all youth leaders in all over the world from TIG will be the real
leaders in their countries. Then we will have all what we need to reach our
goals, not only for youth, but for our world and our next generations."
"A New Birth of Freedom"
Obama’s symbolic train ride from
Philadelphiato Washington 01/17/2009
President-elect Barack Obama ‘s pledge:
"To take up the work'' that the patriots
of American independence started here (Philadelphia)…We are here
to mark the beginning of our journey to Washington, and this is fitting,
because it was here in this city that our American journey began.
"We are here today not simply to pay
tribute to our first patriots but to take up the work that they began. What is required is a new declaration of
independence, not just in our nation, but in our own lives - from ideology and
small thinking, prejudice and bigotry - an appeal not to our easy instincts but
to our better angels.
"Starting now, let's take up in our own lives the work of perfecting
our union.Let's build a government
that is responsible to the people, and accept our own responsibilities as
citizens to hold our government accountable.
"Let's all of us do our part to
rebuild this country. Let's make sure this election is not the end of what we
do to change America, but the beginning.''
Today is a Public holiday for Kenyans! Just because Obama has won. Here in Uganda many people are celebrating:

Subject: A Change for the world
Normally am not for Politics but this time ... i go beyond my limits cuz this is needed and for those who would like to see more about the CHANGE for AMERICA...i have prepared a video short after the elections Congratulation to those who are living in this Continent And Congratulations to the world As this change will make a big change around the world
Obama: Americans...still believe in an America where anything's possible - they just don't think their leaders do.
Obama: Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek. I know my country has not perfected itself. At times, we've struggled to keep the promise of liberty and equality for all of our people. We've made our share of mistakes, and there are times when our actions around the world have not lived up to our best intentions
Obama: He will not always succeed but he may be in a position now to demonstrate to all the nay sayers what is possible in the world when we have dignity, self-respect, true caring for others.
