As we create
community through music, photo projects, and guest speakers focusing on public
health work being done in Uganda and throughout East Africa
Ms.
Moore-Johnson will be traveling to Uganda in June for one month as apart of her
graduate work at San Francisco State University, to volunteer in Christ the King
Medical Unit and Maternity Home. The clinic is a non-governmental organization
(NGO) that provides health care services to women and infants located in the
district of Mukuno.
Ms. Moore-Johnson’s volunteer work will include providing community outreach and conducting a community health assessment that will assess the beliefs and barriers to preventative healthcare among rural mothers.
Your contributions are greatly appreciated!
