I am
deeply grateful for the generosity of family and friends to support the work I
will do this summer in Uganda. Your donation is a contribution that will allow
me to work directly with rural women in Uganda, who are in desperate need of
health education and preventative healthcare. It is estimated in my volunteer
clinic, approximately 90% of the women and children patients are extremely sick
from various infectious diseases such as, Malaria and Typhoid (personal
communication, 2006). My work there will not solve the problem; it will only be
a contribution to address the many issues facing Ugandan mothers and infants.
