Memorable Event in Uganda (Brian's Extra Miles)

This special step was documented by Lukwago Joseph from Joy For Humanity Joe : we appreciated Brian's visit to a rural area of Kyazanga and not only staying in the urban areas like most people do. Brian's visit was really so good and he even visited the families of rural setup and not like the other people trying to change the world but only stop in urban centers and never see what the people really go through. I believe Brian went an extra mile in that and thats why great appreciation is needed.
You will also see that many people left their work to see what was going on and the banners had brought out the message very well.
You can also see Brian together with Daddy from Joseph who was sick for last 2years , but was able to take part in this ceremony with the help of special angels.
You will also see entertainment by the children, singing and many other things.
Then you will also see Joseph and Brian holding a hoe and also Brian watering the newly planted plants .
Joe continued: I planned the 2 trees so that Brian could plant them which are called the ABC4All tree and the other the Universal Flag tree.
Joe: At that moment Brian was planting the trees and it was a memorable event. Thats how we launched and I told Brian that as those trees will be growing, that will automatically implicate that we have to show action from our hearts to change communities and not only talk. You know actions are better and thats what the world needs. The trees will always grow as we also grow in action.

Kampala Junior Team (KJT) is an organisation for promoting talents among young orphans, street boys and slum boys and girls.
We are based in Mengo Kisenyi slums.
The pictures are of the Universal flag and the young Boys between age 10 and age 12 (all are between 5-18).
They are playing soccer in Kenya!
They won the cup of Under 12 and under 14!
They are all orphans and street kids.

Brian is not yet back home in Chicago, Illinois USA. He is about to board a plane in Amsterdam in about 6 hours from the time this is being written to take the last leg of this GREAT JOURNEY to AFRICA. Yet through Internet communication, we have already received from Eddie Boston-Mammah, Co-Founder, Local ABC4All / SIERRA LEONE, information about the opening of ABC4All Primary School in Freetown. Brian McClure and Michael Langevin were present. Eddie sends us back information and pictures which have been placed into this video by our gracious YUBUPA!

Dear Dr. Burt,
Many thanks for your usual concern for the ABC4All Primary School, especially for the opening of the school Tuesday morning. May God give you the continious wisdom to see the success and better improvement and living for all these children.
I have spoken with Brian McClure and Michael Langevin, they have great concern. What Brian and I are trying to do now is to see about the welfare of these children and the teachers.
Since ABC4All Primary School is now a private school and usually the Ministry of Education will only start to think of paying 50% of these teachers pay after 3 -4 years. Therefore in order to keep these professional teachers we have been discussing about ways of creating income in order to maintain these teachers.
Brian has seen for himself that there are thousands of children who cannot have the chance of attending school and the numbers of ABC4All Children attending ABC4All Primary School needs attention.
Dr. Burt, my dream is to get these children out of the street is to start first from the homes to get these young once to go to school.
Now, let me give you a quick explanation. Myself and my wife first tried to meet these street children in order to see whether we can bring them back home. What we observed is that when these children are in the street, they have started finding means of getting money by carrying loads for people and be paid, washing plates for the local cookery women who usually paid them, worst of all is that these street children have as their Boss an elderly person using them to go out and find money for him in any way they can get it even if by pick pocket and at night, they will come and report to their Bossman what they have for the day. This Bossman will collect and give them what ever he feels and find an open room for them to lie down in the empty ground to sleep or some of them will sleep in cinema hall in the ground.
When tying to bring them back home, they will ran away again. So I asked God to give me the vision how I can combat this street children, One night God woke me up and I have the voice saying:
In order to reduce the percentage of street you will have to start from the home where there are lots of children that are not attending school, so by opening the free school, this will enable these children to have a start and from there we can start teaching them the awareness of Better Lives in a Community.
Now my current dream is the Primary School, but we can be thinking of moving to creating an Academy (which is the Secondary School) before going to University level.

"I heard that the opening was a huge success and everything went well." So says Paul from Sierra Express Media in Sierra Leone about the opening celebration!
I heard that the opening was a huge success and everything went well. My manager Alhassan other members of my staff were present, and even Rogee of Rogee Corporation was there too. I learned that Rogee also performed one of his father's great hits at the opening. His father also named Rogee, was a prominent Sierra Leonean musician during the 50's who travelled around the world and paved the way for many of today's younger musicians in Sierra Leone.
I am sure Eddie will be updating you with more details on the opening as soon as possible.
I too will send you a copy of the press release/article from Sierra Express when it is finalized.

Pls to inform you that Brian's plane took off at the secheduled time.
Praise to God for their wonderful visit.
May God take Brian and Michael through their journey to Uganda.
