AFRICAN PHOTOGRAPHY by Peter Njodzeka (Cameroon)

Nothing can match your feelings and emotions as you experience the cool blue light and temperatures of the pre-dawn hours; the peaceful, calming pastels of a sunrise; the vivid, saturated colors of a sunset; the crisp, clean air in the mountains and canyons; the power of a raging, clear stream and rocky waterfall; the fresh scent of a virgin pine forest; the quiet stillness of the desert; the millions of stars that can be seen on a cool, clear night in the mountains, deserts, or canyons. Of course, no photograph can really do justice to the sensory overload experienced during these magic moments. However, maybe the visual images can trigger some memories, sentiments, reactions, or passions that have been dormant far too long. Maybe they can help us appreciate life just a little more.

I believe there are four parts to a great image: 1) great technical skill in using the photography equipment, 2) great subjects, 3) great composition, and 4) great light. Of the four, great light is the most rare and elusive. Light that is BOLD and striking is what catches the eye! Photography is nothing more than painting with light and then freezing the magic for generations to enjoy.

I am fortunate to have the opportunity to spend time each month outdoors, photographing majestic, as well as intimate, natural settings. My photography to date has emphasized the National Parks, Wedding Events, Beach, Forest, Wildlife, Personal Portrait, Fashion Designing Shows, Modeling Shows, Cosmetics, Nature etc... My photo trips rejuvenate my spirit and increase my appreciation for life.

May you live all the days of your life.

Peter Njodzeka

Hi All,

Hope all is well with you. Many of you has known Peter Njodzeka as a community developper, but never knew another side of me as a photographer/videographer. Today, I wish to present my full self to you all and I will start by sharing this link with you all:
http://www.wix.com/africaphotography/African

It's the link to my professional photography work, though am still to put great images and the specific shootings or work. These are just photographs I took with my first canon 8MP, I also had to reduce the resolution to upload on the above website, so don't expect to see high resolution pictures yet. The latest canon will start doing great work on Saturday when it arrives with its professional lenses as well. So you read the info on the bio and homepages and see how you think we can work together or how you can involve or connect AfricanPhotography with other professionals that requires great photography in their work like fashion designers, modelling companies, weddings, safari photography, wildlife, portraits, personal photography, posters, catalogues, studio photography and many more you can think of. This has always been my dream and with my present "old" canon I have been using, I have learned a lot and now that am going into higher level of photography with the latest canon SRL T1i 15.1MP with four different great lenses and flash with studio projector lights, I believe the level has changed. Many of you might not know I am into professional photography, though because it wasn't for business, I was taking pictures as I traveled and implement my projects around the country with Life and Water Development Group - Cameroon in the local communities, but this time around, it's real business starting, although I will still continue with my community work photography. I believe in hard work and new experiences in life. If you're abroad planning to come home in December or anytime from now to have your wedding, any event that needs professional photography and videography work, you are reading from the right source. Just get to me.

PS: I made some 15 collection of images from friends and the rest and shot by myself.

Yours

Peter Njodzeka
