I am a person whose duty is to care for children, according to various problems facing children. It remains the duty of every person to care for them. There are a lot of things which endanger children's right to life. Some of them include poverty, war and death which here I must consider HIV and AIDS as the desease which has left a number of children without direction in the issue of right to life. The orphans are left without food shelter and clothes, and as a result, the right to life is totally distorted. There are a number of children dying of hunger and lack of social services in the world.

How about the right to education as the negative impact of the three things mentioned above. Children do not get this important right. Some children go to school without books, pens and sometimes half naked because of poverty. Some of them fail to pay tuition fees, and as a result, they decide to leave their studies due to such difficulties. Some children leave school and join thieves in the street. They associate themselves with bad groups. In such groups they produce more theives, users of drugs, etc.

Poverty, war and HIV/AIDS are great enemies to children, but unity and love remains the solution.

When we go through various international and regional instruments which provide for the rights of children, the right to life is clearly stipulated: UN Convention on the Rights of Children and the OAU Charter on The Welfare of Children.

I believe that with unity we can make a difference in Africa. The children will not see the world as the hell, they will live in peace and hope like other Children who enjoy life.

LET A CHILD BE A CHILD. IF WE WANT TO CHANGE THE WORLD, WE SHOULD START WITH CHILDREN.

NOTE: We have already started the centre for caring children, an NGO, African Children Orphan Centre! We have now 10 children in the centre. We have registered a lot of children, but actually we found it difficult to bring them into the program because, we can only accommodate children according to our ability. We cannot afford more right now. We seek support and partnerships with others also supporting children.
