

OUR PROJECTS
Background
Local ABC4All / UGANDA (LABC4AllU) was created by Co-Founder Richard
Bbaale in cooperation with Main ABC4All Co-Founders, Burton Danet/Bob
Chew. Main ABC4All offers
constitutional provisions, organizational guidelines and standards of procedure,
as well as the protection of LABC4AllU name and emblem.
Purpose
The purpose of Local ABC4All / UGANDA is to provide an opportunity for
young men and women in Uganda to enhance the knowledge and skills that will
assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs
of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people in
their existing local community channels and worldwide through a framework of
friendship and service.
Goals
The goals of Local ABC4All / UGANDA are:
1. To develop
professional and leadership skills;
2. To emphasize
respect for the rights of others, based on recognition of the work of each
individual;
3. To recognize the
dignity and value of all useful occupations as opportunities to serve;
4. To recognize,
practice and promote ethical standards as leadership qualities and vocational
responsibilities;
5. To develop
knowledge and understanding of the needs, problems and opportunities in the
local community and worldwide;
6. To provide
opportunities for personal and group activities to serve the community and
promote international understanding and good will towards all people for a
better community for all.
Local
ABC4All / UGANDA (LABC4AllU) Activities and Projects
1. LocalABC4AllU shall be
responsible for planning, organizing, financing, and conducting its own
activities. Support for the activities shall be generated by LABC4AllU itself,
supplying necessary funding, manpower and creative imagination necessary
therein. An exception will be in the
case of joint projects or activities undertaken in cooperation with other
organization(s), with such responsibilities shared equally with the other
organization(s)/
2. LocalABC4AllU shall undertake
among its activities at least 2 major service projects annually. One project will serve the local
community. The other will promote
international understanding. Both will involve active members of the group.
3. LocalABC4AllU shall provide a
professional development program for its members.
4. LocalABC4AllU shall have the
responsibility to raise the funds necessary to carry out its programs. It shall
solicit, accept or receive assistance from or sponsoring/supporting
organizations including Main ABC4All and its future ABC4All Millennium
Endowment Fund (ABC4AllMEF). It shall solicit financial assistance from
individuals, businesses or organizations in the community with a method for
giving something of value in return to all such supporters. All funds raised
for service projects will be expended for that purpose with appropriate
documentation.
