Project Proposal
Introduction:
December 4. 2004 the dream for helping children to discover their hidden talents and skills to become better future leaders was conceived by my wife and I here in Ghana. After several years as refugees, strange situation issued on May 28. 2006, which permitted us to begin a Bible study class to enable children particularly refugee and others to be drawn to God as their Lord. This however succeeded but the struggle to (Economy Hardship) interrupted said study and children drew away all because they started finding food for sustainability of lives own their owns. The situation affect the children directly and indirectly in many ways.
Meanwhile on August 4. 2007, the Lord directed us to join and formulate this glorious opportunity for the Liberian children residing in Ghana, Africa as whole our Continent.
Rosalinda and Eddy, the newly joined persons also introduced person who is God fearing and could mother the children as we implement this plan. Mother P. S. Torjila who serves as an advisor and Sponsor of this program was firstly introduced as feeding program at the Liberian Refugees camp in Ghana. This program was run and monitor by Rosalinda A. Noah and Blamo.
Mother P. S. Torjila's sponsorship is the current feeding program for our orphanage Home presently in Ghana. This program has been assisting for a year on Buduburam refugees Camp in Ghana and continues to assist the orphanage, disadvantaged, Women as well as the disable.
The feeding program was aborted due to the general situation on the Liberian Refugee in Ghana. Owing to the prevailing situation on camp coupled with unbearable condition faced by the children in Liberia, we decided to establish our Sub-Branch to Liberia particularly the Southern region.
Besides the feeding Program, we decided to form a broad base organization which will be able to cater for children who are parentless and those of who are less fortunate in Liberia as well in the Southern region. Therefore African Women And Children Assistance Foundation is formed in Liberia as well.
The Headquarters for this Organization shall be in Monteserrado County, Sinkor, Monrovia-Liberia to be specific.
Objectives
The objective of this organization shall be as follows:
To feed orphans and vulnerable women and children of Buduburam Refugee Settlement, Accra Ghana and Montserrado Co. Liberia and extension to other regions within the Republic's.
To educate them to become future leaders
To enable them to produce sustainable food and other essential commodities by rising their talents
To build both elementary and junior high school to enhance their learning
To build use one of the building room as Internet café to equip them to use computer for re-search purpose.
To expose them to agricultural technology
To equip them vocationally.
AWCAF is a non-political organization but humanitarian in nature which is purposely formed to educate vulnerable children secularly, religiously as well as vocationally. She will educate the children and further train them to use their God's given talents to produce and or become useful leaders of tomorrow Liberia and Africa as a whole.

She will educate the children and further train them to use their God's given talents to produce and or become useful leaders of tomorrow Liberia and Africa as a whole.
Target group: AWCAF has identified after observed Central region Ghana and Montserrado County, Liberia and it's environ to be the most important area where the most vulnerable women and orphans are found. The reason is so common because the population of the refugees is hign in Ghana and because Montserrado was the target also for the rebel incursion of 1990 in Liberia. Therefore, many children are found on the streets without parents. Besides the parental care, they have no means to education, health as well as feeding.
Beneficiaries: AWCAF feels the implementation of this program shall benefit the orphans, disadvantage and other children of both states and it's environ.
Strategy: AWCAF has adopted the system of developing the minds of women and children by educating them to know God as personal Lord. She shall also include secular education in her program to enable the women and children to complete their vocational skills training, elementary and junior school education.
Moreover, AWCAF will also train children technically to make them useful citizens of inter-states Ghana/Liberia. AWCAF will monitor the activities of every child and conduct counseling services as contact students to international partners. She shall also organize extramural activities to permit students proof their God's giving talents.
Past Achievement: For the past years AWCAF succeeded in conducting bible study classes for 300 women, and 400 children, and fed the identical number of children Camp. It is our hope to do more as we set to Liberia particularly Sinoe County.
Problems. During the period of operation AWCAF has identified the following:
Lack of education for women, orphans and disadvantage children as impediment to their future
Lot of adequate food for orphans and disadvantage children. This has been the cause of pre-mature death among the children of the Southern region, Liberia.
Lack of medical care-this also affected more children and adults alike in the area, thus causing death of both children and adults.
AWCAF feels when these problems are adequately addressed; the growth of the children and up standard of the women will be important and indeed useful citizens.
Evaluation: AWCAF project will be monitored periodically by project officer and other staff who will make sub-sequent report to the Executive Director for an onward transmission to the Donors.
