an understanding of the Mission / Vision of ABC4All.
Exposure to these steps can underscore
for each individual who chooses to participate the necessity to act now.
Individuals participating, together, will help improve communities.
Never
underestimate the power of the action of one individual. One person acting can
set an example for another, then another……until enough individuals, acting
in concert, will together make the world a better place. That is what Margaret
Mead may have had in mind:
"Never
doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.
Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." In the September 2004
issue of Natural Health, there is an article on "Your True Nature
– We Can Be Heroes." In that article, there is reference to the fact that
"There is integrity in every attempt, large or
small, to make the world a better place."

Joshua
Leibow, university senior, asked about a naturopathic internship for summer '05,
leading to his becoming the "ABC4All
Self-Directed Intern." Here is what he
discovered:
"My
work on this planet is nothing without the help, support, cooperation and
co-recognition of my associates...My motivation is based on mutualism for the
rest of humanity, but it actually stems from a great deal of selfishness.The selfishness is the desire to feel healthy in my own body and then to
share this enthusiasm with the rest of the world.I am here to participate in elevating the human condition from sickness
to vibrate health, so that we may have healthy bodies.With healthy bodies it will be much easier to work on creating healthy
minds and from there we can go on to create healthy societies.

Encouraging Teen Girls to Get Healthy Through Sports and Physical Activity
--
Just
13-years old, the recent 8th grade graduate has founded her own non-profit
community organization; received national sports recognitions; accepted
numerous community awards; and excelled academically. Currently, she is
involved with the national Women's Sports Foundation program founded by
former women's tennis champion Billie Jean King. It is in this capacity that
young Myia Jones' company (MYIA, Inc.) will host a spectacular event in
Oakland for the Women's Sports Foundation's GoGirlGo! National Outreach
Campaign to encourage Bay Area teen girls to "get moving." -

Health, Exercise and Nutrition for All (CHEN4All), is 13 years old and attends Christian School in Vacaville. In 2002,
she created the Multicultural
Youth-in-Action (MYIA) company. The goal of her organization is to
produce community service activities that encourage young people to be
intimately involved with positive societal events that ultimately teach them
leadership/citizenship life skills. She is both the visionary founder and
president of the MYIA company.

ABC4All is joining NetSalon's Tsunamirelief effort:
"NetSalon Software Development Corporation has taken action and we invite
you to join us in our effort to save lives in the area. We have already arranged
for more than 600,000 nutrient dense dry pack meals to be airlifted to where it
is needed most".
These meals are all vegetarian, casserole or soup which contains (per serving)
