This is a message from Burt/Marsha

During this Holiday Season the wish is that everyone remains
safe. The promise of the New Year this time is that, while
2005 was "The Year of the PAW" http://ABC4All.net/paw.htm,
2006 has the potential to be "The Year of Relief:"

Dear
Grassroots.org Subscriber,
Our
efforts continue. Our commitment to others remains strong.
In January
2005, Grassroots.org gave 100% of its online donations to
"Save the Children," the leading independent
organization for children in need in the U.S. and around the
world. Nine months later, in September 2005, when
Hurricane Katrina struck U.S. soil, Grassroots.org responded
again, contributing 100% of its online donations to the
American Red Cross to provide support to people directly
affected by the disaster. Every day our grassroots
efforts strengthen as we continue to make positive
contributions nationally, and throughout the world.
Grassroots.org
helps nonprofit and charitable organizations grow and
thrive. Our commitment is to make it easier for these
organizations to carry out their own efforts addressing
poverty, hunger, homelessness, disease, violence,
environmental decay and more. Our approach is not influenced
by any corporate, political, or religious affiliations, but
by our own passion and ambition to make change ! By
helping organizations operate more efficiently, we can, at
the grassroots level, make a difference in the lives of
others.
Your support
enables Grassroots.org to make change by providing free
services, including web hosting, web design and legal
services, to nonprofit organizations helping them to operate
and to work more efficiently. We provide free web
hosting for more than 150 nonprofit organizations. We have
designed and developed web sites for more than 40 nonprofit
organizations. And we offer free legal services to
U.S.-based nonprofit organizations.
Grassroots.org
has also developed dozens of topical web sites like
Shelters.org, the most comprehensive online directory of
U.S. homeless shelters with over 750 listings, including
links to shelter web sites and maps of shelter locations.
Soon Shelters.org will expand to also include Canadian
shelters.
We recognize
the ambition of our goals and understand that we cannot do
this alone. To continue to offer our services at no cost and
to foster needed change, we need your help. As 2005 comes to
a close and the spirit of the holidays is upon us, we ask
you to keep Grassroots.org in mind as you consider
charitable giving. Grassroots.org is a 501(c)(3)
tax-exempt, non-profit organization, and your donations are
completely tax-deductible.
Donations via
PayPal, MasterCard and Visa are accepted through our website
at http://www.grassroots.org/do/Donate.
Checks or money orders made payable to Grassroots.org can
also be sent to us at Grassroots.org, 1201 Pennsylvania
Avenue, NW, Suite 300 Washington, DC20004. For your
tax records, a donation receipt will be promptly sent to
your attention.
During the month of December, we are offering the following
gifts to thank you for your contributions. For your
generous donation of $100 or more you will receive a
Grassroots.org coffee mug. Or for a donation of $250
or more, you will receive a Grassroots.org sweatshirt.
You can view these items at the Grassroots.org store at http://www.grassroots.org/store.
(Note: to receive these premiums you must mention the item
you'd like to receive at the time of your donation. If
you are requesting a sweatshirt, please include the size.)
Grassroots.org is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose
mission is to spread valuable social information throughout
the world and to provide free services to nonprofits and
charities to help them save money and further their
missions. Your support will enable Grassroots.org to
serve an even greater number of organizations and, working
together, we will relieve some of the world's most egregious
problems. Thank you for your help in making this goal
a reality.
Happy
holidays and best wishes for a safe New Year!
Sincerely,
Joe
Jurczyk, Executive Director
Jim Ward, President
P.S. Send
