This holiday season, a one-of-a-kind tree adorned with lovingly handmade stuffed animals will be on display. The tree is part of a project initiated by Felissimo Corporation of Japan.  The stuffed animals were created for the annual "Happy Toys" project. Each year, a new animal is introduced with a specific wish attached to it.

This year's Bird carries the wish of flying and striving to reach your dreams.

During the holiday season, Happy Toys are displayed on trees in New York and Japan. Then in the New Year, the Happy Toys are distributed to children worldwide, earning them the name of "Smiling Goodwill Ambassadors."

For 2006, ABC4All outlines for the world “The Year of Relief.”  The hope is, by launching The Year of Relief, there will follow the “Decade of Relief,” and eventually, the “Century of Relief.”
