This May 1st the feeling of unconditional love was felt around the world.  Your incoming reports from local events continue to amaze us as to the creativity, strength, courage and dedication to bring universal love into our individual and collective reality.  To everyone - thank you!  We continue posting pictures and videos from this year's Global Love Day events as they come in, so remember to send us yours.
 
We are delighted to announce the three Finalists and three Honorable Mentions for the fifth annual Art, Essay and Poetry Invitational honoring Global Love Day May 1, 2008.  Once again we invited "anyone young at heart" to submit their original piece with the theme of "Love Begins With Me."  Each year we are encouraged with so many beautiful international expressions and must ultimately decide upon a few.  Finalists include: Rosalina Sron (Canada) for Art, Jana Ostrom (USA) for Essay and Roseline Otobo (Nigeria) for Poetry.  Honorable Mentions go to Gregory Avila-Shah for Art, Tasha Halpert for Essay and Naila Francis for Poetry.  You can view each on our site.
 
Launched just this April, our new TLF YouTube Channel continues to rank prominently in the nonprofit section and thanks to our amazingly dedicated volunteer video expert extraordinaire, we have over 65 videos already.  Visit http://www.youtube.com/thelovefoundation where you can see a GLD 08 video montage and also videos of significant events in Pakistan and Bangladesh and a heartwarming one in Uganda too.
 
Since launching Global Love Day in 2004 we have received responses from individuals and organizations in 121 countries along with 182 proclamations and documents that have been issued from prominent Governors, Mayors, Councils and Senators.  Our flyer has been translated in 30 languages and we have 37 TLF Country and Regional Volunteer Coordinators in 23 countries.  Love is everywhere.
 
We are excited about the opportunities that await us for the Sixth Annual Global Love Day on May 1, 2009!  Join us in making this a truly Global Celebration for ALL of us on this wonderful planet.
