The Director of the Center of Disease Control feels that we have an "epidemic" of poor eating habits in our youth.

Not only can bad eating habits lead to poor health and low academic performance, but it can lead to childhood obesity. Social interaction with peers may be painful which could cause low self-esteem, self-consciousness, depression and other issues. All of these negatives will reflect on how our children perform in school and in later life.
