ABC4ALL PROPOSAL:
Natural
Ovens of Manitowoc, WI was founded in 1976 by Paul Stitt, M.S. (biochemistry,
University of Wisconsin) because he saw a need for fresh, filling and
satisfying, preservative-free whole grain food in the Midwest. As scientists
discovered more and more about the dangers of chemical additives,
preservatives, and "junk food" diets, Paul became increasingly
concerned about the health of his family... and the nation.
MODEL NUTRITION PROGRAM
Appleton Central Alternative School is committed to total student success. A partnership with Natural Ovens Bakery of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, has resulted in a healthy nutrition program for our students, as reflected in their dynamic video presentation Please CLICK ON THE TITLE to view this dramatic, moving presentation documenting the elimination of behavioral problems in a school just by changing to a healthy nutrition program!
“The Impact of
Fresh, Healthy Food on Learning and Behavior 2004.”
The film explores the horror of school lunch programs,
declining health and physical education classes, food addictions and the extreme
measures people take to lose weight and regain their health.
Super Size Me is a satirical jab in the stomach, overstuffed
with fat and facts about the billion-dollar industry besieged by doctors,
lawyers and nutritionists alike. "Would you like fries with that?"
will never sound the same!

“Nutrition and Kids Adventures" is a
cutting edge game designed to help kids teach themselves about proper
nutrition, healthier foods, and having a healthy body.
The
idea is to promote this CD-ROM game directly to our elementary age children to
provide them with education on health and nutrition. Our aim is not only to
bring higher mentality and awareness of how important nutrition plays a role in
our physical and mental health, but also to generate a generous amount of funds
that can be given to schools and organizations for the betterment of education
to our young people, which is so vital to our future.
Nutrition for Kids’ Mission Statement:
To educate our nation's children on proper nutrition and health in a way
that they will motivate "themselves" to instill healthy eating
habits. Our endeavor is to reach out to the nation's schools and give back to
them, since they are entrusted everyday in molding our children's lives.....our
children are our future!
The Giving Card
Program

The Giving Card Program helps every nonprofit
organization regardless of size or purpose. Using the spending power of one
member multiplied by the strength of many, a steady stream becomes a torrent of
contributions, automatically.
It's easy. Supporters register one or all the credit cards they have now. Visa,
MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and debit cards all
qualify. Members designate their nonprofits to receive the contributions; spend
as they do now; and create a stream of contributions that just grows and grows.
The need has never been greater. Schools, charities, churches, the homeless and
the sick really need what we can do, together. The Giving Card is the
difference -- one person at a time, one purchase at a time. It's up to you.
